Charlie Lombardo is celebrating his 27^th year in Long Island Radio. Charlie started at WRHD in 1984 a Big Band AM station in Riverhead and sister station of WRCN. He began working weekends for both and eventually moved up the dial to WGBB Freeport, then WFLY in Albany NY driving back and forth on the weekends for 4.50 an hour….Not the brightest tool in the shed but a very passionate guy he caught the attention of WALK Long Island where he hosted the Nighttime show WALK Pillow Talk as Jay Letterman and he was their music director from 1988-2001. In January of 2001 he was given PD stripes at Barnstable Broadcasting’s Island 94.3 the NEW 80’s station and after awhile segued over to LOVE 96.1 as their Program Director & wake up guy. Charlie was then given PD stripes for Classic Rocker 1039 RCN & was their mid day guy for about a year. RCN & 96.1 have recently been purchased by JVC Broadcasting home of Party 105 & La Fiesta. JVC asked to Charlie to go back to Jay Letterman and be the mid day jock on their brand new station MY COUNTRY 96.1 where he can be heard today. He celebrates 25 years of marriage to  Vicki and has 3 almost grown kids Anthony, Geena & Christopher. Charlie is tossed between Al Pacino, Robert Deniro & Jack Nicholson as a favorite actor, loves the Mob movies & currently Boardwalk Empire. He created Celebrity Music a mobile DJ company since 1984 and prides himself on making the best Tacos East of 112.
