Miles for Melanoma-May 19th
The 9th Annual Miles for Melanoma 5k Run/Walk will take place Sunday May 19th at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY., Parking Field #2. The runners begin at 9:30 am and walkers begin at 10:30 am. TAKE HEART SUFFOLK COUNTY INITIATIVE
Suffolk County and Take Heart America announced a county-wide initiative designed to increase sudden cardiac arrest survival rates. THA’s primary goal is to improve the overall survival rate from out-of-hospital SCA from 5% to 20%. They combine a variety of resuscitation innovations, each known to be effective separately, but when used together have proven to dramatically increase the odds of living and resuming a productive life.
